The Lancet editors collaborate with academic partners to identify the most pressing issues in science, medicine, and global health, with the aim of providing recommendations that change health policy or improve practice.
Lacent Commissions are comprised of two co-Chairs, a Steering Committee and 20 to 25 Commissioners from various fields (e.g., academia, clinical practice, health economics, patient advocacy, and policy) to research the latest evidence and provide critical framing and input on the Commission topic.
Various working groups and advisory committees may be formed as deemed relevant and necessary by the Co-Chairs and Commissioners.
The RDI-LCRD Working Groups (WG)
To drive meaningful change, our working groups focus on key areas that impact people living with rare diseases (PLWRD). Each group collaborates with PLWRD to understand their needs and develop actionable, global recommendations.
